  • Classes similar to previous semesters providing continuity to our students and teachers.
  • The term includes 10 classes.

Who should attend?

  • Classes are offered on Zoom so anyone with an Internet connection can attend, no matter your geography.
  • Anyone who has ever dreamed of taking lessons or improving existing skills.
  • Students of all abilities should find the right slot within the multiple skill levels that have been defined.

Class Placement Levels

  • Absolute Beginner
students who have never played an instrument before.
  • Advanced beginner
students who have completed the “absolute beginner course” or have already learned the basics of their instrument but require additional technique, rhythm and speed training.
  • Intermediate
students who are considered past beginner skills and are able to play tunes by ear with good technique and rhythm as well as at a reasonable speed.
  • Advanced
students who have met all of the placement requirements and play traditional Irish music at a high level of ability and easily learn by ear.

These clarifications are to insure student placements are appropriate to the student’s skill level. Final placement levels will be determined in consultation with the teacher.
