Register online for Traditional Irish Music Classes
Online registration is now open through Sunday, September 29th, for the CCÉ Boston Music School FALL 2024 term. Classes will begin on Saturday, October 5th.
Since 2020 we have held our classes virtually using the Zoom interactive meeting app, which many of our students, especially outside of the immediate Boston area, appreciate. We will continue with online classes Saturday mornings this semester. We suggest you register now so you will not be disappointed if your class doesn’t run due to low enrollment.

Class Placement Levels
- Intro Classes for Youth
young students up to age 12 who have never played the instrument. Intro classes are shorter than regular classes. - Absolute Beginner
students who have never played the instrument before.
There are no absolute beginner classes in flute, fiddle and uilleann pipes due to classes not being held in person at this point. - Advanced beginner
students who have completed the “absolute beginner course” or have already learned the basics of their instrument but require additional technique, rhythm and speed training. - Intermediate
students who are considered past beginner skills and are able to play tunes by ear with good technique and rhythm as well as at a reasonable speed. - Advanced
students who have met all of the placement requirements and play traditional Irish music at a high level of ability and easily learn by ear.
These clarifications are to ensure student placements are appropriate to the student’s skill level. Final placement levels will be determined in consultation with the teacher.
